Partnership to put the world's leading construction and BIM software into the hands of India's architects, engineers and construction professionals

National, July 16, 2026: Nemetschek Group, India, a leading provider of software solutions for the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operations (AEC/O) industry, has entered a strategic partnership with Novatr, India's leading AEC-tech education platform, to strengthen the country's digital construction talent ecosystem.

Formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the collaboration aims to bridge the longstanding gap between academic learning and industry requirements by providing students and working professionals with hands-on training in globally recognised Building Information Modelling (BIM) technologies and digital construction workflows.

The partnership comes at a time when India's built environment is witnessing massive expansion. According to the National Infrastructure Pipeline, investments exceeding ₹111 lakh crore are planned across infrastructure sectors, while India's construction market is projected to become the world's third largest by 2030. Simultaneously, BIM adoption is gaining momentum across government infrastructure, commercial real estate, manufacturing facilities and smart city developments, creating an urgent demand for professionals equipped with digital engineering skills.

Despite producing one of the world's largest pools of architecture and engineering graduates annually, a significant industry readiness gap continues to exist, with many graduates lacking practical exposure to the digital tools used across modern design and construction projects. The Nemetschek India–Novatr partnership directly addresses this challenge by bringing globally adopted BIM software into structured learning pathways before learners enter the workforce.

As part of the collaboration, Nemetschek's globally recognised software portfolio including Graphisoft Archicad, Allplan, Bluebeam, Solibri and Vectorworks will be integrated into Novatr's project-based, cohort-driven learning programmes. The initiative will introduce dedicated certification tracks designed specifically around Nemetschek technologies, enabling learners to acquire practical skills through real-world projects while gaining exposure to industry-standard digital workflows.

Speaking on the collaboration, Alok Sharma, Managing Director and Vice President, Nemetschek India, said: "India is entering a defining decade for infrastructure and urban development, where digital technologies and AI will determine how efficiently we design, build and operate our built environment. While BIM adoption is accelerating rapidly, the availability of industry-ready digital talent remains one of the sector's biggest challenges. Our partnership with Novatr reflects Nemetschek's long-term commitment to developing future-ready professionals by giving them access to globally recognised BIM and AI-driven technologies, practical project experience and internationally relevant digital workflows. Together, we aim to build a stronger, globally competitive talent pipeline ,one that not only supports India's transition towards smarter, more sustainable and technology-driven construction, but is also skilled enough to cater to global design and engineering needs."

Beyond software training, the collaboration will offer learners access to industry-recognised certifications, mentorship opportunities, live project experience and placement support through Novatr's extensive employer ecosystem. The initiative is equally aimed at helping working professionals upskill and transition into higher-value BIM and digital engineering roles as organisations increasingly adopt collaborative digital delivery models.

Commenting on the partnership, Harkunwar Singh, Co-founder & CEO, Novatr, said that "The future of the AEC industry depends on professionals who are proficient in digital design, collaboration and construction technologies. By partnering with Nemetschek India, we are enabling learners to master globally used BIM platforms while working on real-world industry scenarios. This collaboration strengthens our mission of making India's AEC workforce globally competitive and helping employers access talent that is productive from day one."

The partnership also reinforces Nemetschek India's growing investment in India's education ecosystem. Over the past few years, the company has collaborated with premier institutions including IIT Madras, VJTI, School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), and KIIT, while continuing to expand its Global Capability Centre in India. This latest collaboration extends that vision by creating scalable industry-academia pathways that prepare talent for the next generation of digital construction.

Novatr has established itself as one of India's fastest-growing AEC education platforms, having trained more than 10,000+ professionals across over 50 countries, working with 800+ hiring partner firms and facilitating 5,500+ job opportunities for graduates. By combining Novatr's project-based pedagogy with Nemetschek's globally trusted software ecosystem, the partnership is expected to play a significant role in strengthening India's digital construction workforce while supporting the industry's growing demand for BIM-enabled professionals.
