Nemetschek Group Unveils Allplan Max 2027, a New Standard for AI-Driven Engineering

Purpose-built AI extends across Allplan’s engineering portfolio to help firms automate repetitive work, accelerate access to project insight and keep engineers in control.

Munich, October 28, 2026 – The Nemetschek Group and its brand Allplan today announced the launch of Allplan Max 2027, a new generation of AI, designed specifically for engineering workflows and built to extend intelligence across Allplan’s broad engineering portfolio. It is part of the Nemetschek Intelligence Platform.

Building on Allplan's long heritage of engineering excellence, the new solution combines decades of domain expertise with a new generation of AI designed specifically for the way engineers work. From modeling and analysis to detailing and fabrication, Allplan Max brings practical AI into the tools engineers already use. It helps firms reduce repetitive work, access critical project information faster, automate routine processes, create custom workflows and give engineers more time to focus on judgment, problem-solving and design.

“Allplan Max is the next step in Allplan’s engineering-first strategy. We are bringing AI into the workflows engineers already rely on, with a clear purpose: create more capacity, make critical information easier to access and help teams move faster without giving up engineering control”, said Sunil Pandita, CEO of Allplan and Chief Division Officer Planning & Design at the Nemetschek Group.

AI built for real engineering workflows

Allplan Max addresses the areas where engineering teams lose time every day, including searching for information, checking models, preparing reports, creating formulas, cleaning drawings and repeating routine tasks.

Capabilities include Feature Builder, Workflow Builder, AI Formula Writer, AI BIM Analyst, AI Structural Analyst, AI Drafter, AI Coach, AI Visualizer and AI Steel Take Off. Together, they help engineers customize software, automate workflows, interrogate model data, accelerate reporting, improve drawing production and access relevant guidance directly in context.

At the heart of Allplan Max is a simple principle: AI supports engineering judgment rather than replacing it. Engineers remain responsible for design intent, review, approval and final outcomes.

“Allplan Max is transforming Nemetschek engineering software into an AI engine; embedding intelligence directly into the workflows engineers already use. We’re helping firms capture expertise, automate routine work and unlock new levels of productivity, while preserving the rigor, traceability and human judgment engineering demands. Most importantly, we’re safeguarding our customers’ investment for an AI-driven future”, adds Rahul J. Chillar, Chief Product Officer of the Planning & Design Division at Nemetschek Group.

One AI strategy across the engineering portfolio

Allplan Max is not limited to a single application. Its capabilities are being introduced across Allplan’s engineering portfolio to support the full engineering lifecycle:

  • Allplan brings AI into BIM, detailing and workflow customization through capabilities such as Feature Builder, Workflow Builder, AI Formula Writer, AI BIM Analyst and AI Drafter.
  • SCIA and FRILO extend AI into structural analysis and engineering decision support, including AI Structural Analyst and AI Coach.
  • SDS2 brings AI into fabrication-oriented workflows, including BIM analysis and drawing automation.

Together, these products support a connected model, analyze and fabricate workflow, with Allplan Max providing a common intelligence layer across the portfolio. The strategy is designed to make specialized engineering products smarter and more connected while keeping engineers firmly in control.

Customer adoption results show measurable productivity gains

Allplan Max usage results point to meaningful productivity gains. Users reported up to 36 percent faster completion for selected tasks, depending on workflow. These results are self-reported estimates and may vary by role, project complexity, data quality and adoption.

Allplan Max launches alongside Allplan 2027, which also introduces advances in reinforcement detailing, BIM information workflows and AI-powered customization.

Allplan Max 2027 unveils on October 28, 2026. Availability may vary by product, package and region.
