Dr. Axel Kaufmann becomes new CFOO & Spokesman of the Executive Board of Nemetschek SE

The Supervisory Board of Nemetschek SE today unanimously appointed Dr. Axel Kaufmann as Spokesman of the Executive Board and CFOO of Nemetschek SE. He will take up his position on January 1, 2020. In addition to these functions, he will be responsible for the growth-intensive Media & Entertainment (M&E) division.

Munich, October 22, 2019 - The Supervisory Board of Nemetschek SE today unanimously appointed Dr. Axel Kaufmann as Spokesman of the Executive Board and CFOO of Nemetschek SE. He will take up his position on January 1, 2020. In addition to these functions, he will be responsible for the growth-intensive Media & Entertainment (M&E) division.

"Dr. Kaufmann is an extremely experienced manager with many years of international industrial experience and brings an exceptional financial background and track record to Nemetschek SE," says Kurt Dobitsch, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Nemetschek SE. "In his recent management positions, he has been instrumental in developing sustained growth and business expansion through a combination of strong leadership, strategic agility, team orientation and a bias for action. It is my firm conviction that Mr. Kaufmann, together with the experienced and international management team already in place at Nemetschek SE, will lead the company into the next epoch of innovation and growth."

Dr. Axel Kaufmann (49) was most recently an executive board member of Rational AG, which is also listed on the MDAX. Prior to that, he was responsible for commercial and operational management functions at Koenig & Bauer AG, Nokia Networks and Siemens AG. After an apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank AG and international studies, he earned his doctorate at the University of Paderborn.

Patrik Heider, the former CFOO & Spokesman, is leaving Nemetschek SE by December 31, 2019 at his own request and will pursue his own plans in the future. The Supervisory Board is very grateful to Mr. Heider for his work, his commitment and his achievements over the past 6 years as well as for the material and successful development of the company and wishes him all the best for the future.

Nemetschek SE will publish its business results for Q3/2019 and make further statements regarding this release during the conference call already scheduled for October 31 at 9:30 a.m. CET.​
